Meggitt buys Elite Aerospace, strengthening its aftermarket capability

Meggitt PLC has completed the acquisition of Elite Aerospace (Elite), a Miami-based and award winning leader in the test, repair and overhaul of commercial, regional and military aircraft components.

The Miramar-based aftermarket specialist has joined Customer Service & Support (CSS), Meggitt’s dedicated aftermarket organization.

Extending our capabilities
Elite’s world class capabilities in repair and overhaul for heat transfer, pneumatics, hydraulic and avionic components for both commercial and military aircraft complements Meggitt’s core product capabilities. The acquisition provides increased market access for the combined business and enables better support to operators globally.

Integration prospects are promising. Lorraine added: “Elite has been a Meggitt heat exchanger partner for over 10 years and runs a flawless Lean operating system. We will build on this expertise in the aftermarket to further strengthen our implementation of the Meggitt Production System.”

Meggitt’s dedicated aftermarket organization was launched as a full service organization in 2016 to provide the agility the international engineering group needed to complete in the increasingly dynamic market for spares and repairs. CSS is committed to delivering superb service through the aerospace product lifecycle and, ultimately, helping its airline customers run their operations as cost-effectively as possible.
